Fundraisers
Pecan Sales:
All members and officers can participate in the Pecan Sales fundraiser in the fall. Students will receive prizes for the top sellers.
Tractor Pull:
All FFA members get in free.
Held 2nd Saturday in April each year. Antique tractors, Hot Farm Tractors (Diesels), V-8 Tractors, Gas and Diesel Trucks.
All FFA members are encouraged to sign up to help work this event.
Greenhouse Sales:
Our agriculture students enrolled in the plant and soil sciences pathway raise plants in the greenhouses at JCHS and then sell them as a fundraiser. Sells are as follows:
Fall- Mums and Fall Decorations
Winter- Poinsettias
Spring- Flowering Plants and Vegetables
Blind Auction:
Every December the chapter hosts a Blind Auction to benefit the Jefferson County FFA Alumni Scholarship Fund or a family in need. At this event FFA members box and wrap items and community members bid on the packages without knowing what is in them. Attendees are provided with a list of packages and estimated value, and they must guess what is in the package.
Banquet:
Normally held 1st Friday in May
For all FFA members and parents
Awards for the year will be given out and the next years officer team will be announced
